Job Description  

The Water Sustainability Officer will coordinate, manage and drive the implementation of the demand management, drought management and other water sustainability related strategies and programs.
 
Qualifications and Experience 

This position requires program management skills including scope definition, accountability and responsibility allocation, and management of time and budget, together with an understanding of contemporary management relevant to water demand, conservation and efficiency.

The successful applicant will demonstrate their ability in implementing, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and delivery of effective engagement and education programs within a community, with an emphasis on behaviour change

You must also be committed to promoting Council’s Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability and Respect.

Conditions of employment

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award 2020. Salary range $76,419 - $89,388 per annum based on skills and experience plus statutory superannuation (9.5%) and generous working conditions including a 70 hour, nine-day fortnight.  A satisfactory health assessment, including drug screening is a pre-requisite to an offer of employment.
