With a focus on our commitment to achieving a balance between economic, social and environmental considerations and conserving local biodiversity, we are seeking an experienced Ecologist to help meet these goals by ensuring ecological matters are balanced within the development assessment context. You will also be involved in restoration projects, writing a variety of technical reports, representing Council at relevant networks and legal proceedings, ecological assessments and providing specialist advice. 

You must have tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or equivalent, practical experience and detailed knowledge in ecology, wildlife management, botany or other relevant field/s and experience in managing projects and consultants. You must also be experienced in the assessment and review of ecological matters and providing strategic advice on biodiversity matters including preparing REFs, SEPPs, LEPs and DCPs.

Salary Range: A competitive salary will be offered based on qualifications and experience, 35 hours per week, leave entitlements, 9.5% employer superannuation contribution, gym membership discounts and more.
