Using your Certificate III in Arboriculture and technical skills, join our Tree Maintenance section in ensuring the efficient replacement and maintenance of public trees. In these permanent full time roles, you will be involved in using a tree chipper and stump grinder, aerial tree work with climbing ropes and harness and maintenance of trees including fertilising, formative pruning, watering and mulching. You will also be providing specialist advice to supervisors and management and assisting in our Street Tree Planting Program.

You must have a minimum two years of experience, MR driver’s licence, Australian Qualifications Framework Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent, relevant recognised training in chainsaw operations at levels 1 and 2 and in basic arboriculture tasks and a NSW General Construction Induction Card (white card). Relevant recognised training in chainsaw operations at levels 3 and 4 as well as Horticulture and Senior First Aid Certificates and Accreditations including Traffic Controller, Pesticide/Herbicide Application and Aerial Rescue Attainment would be advantageous. Selected shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a practical assessment. There will also be alcohol, drug and random testing during the pre-employment phase.

Salary Range: $1,051.30 - $1,177.50 (Grade 6), 35 hour working week, 76 hour working fortnight with RDO, leave entitlements, 9.5% employer superannuation contribution, gym membership discounts and more.
