   Place Manager 

About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our large dedicated place-making team as a Place Manager.

Are you driven by connecting people to place and taking a data and evidence-based look at what makes an area liveable and loveable? Then this is the role for you to make it happen!

You’ll have access to significant budgets to use your understanding of place-making to deliver high quality and distinctive capital projects, activations, and community engagement initiatives for the community. You’ll be encouraged to be innovative and develop new place-making approaches.

About the person
As place manager you will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with key stakeholders and managing diverse and innovative projects for communities, neighbourhoods and centres.
  • Co-ordinating, supporting and encouraging cooperation across different Council business units.
  • Providing advice on cross-functional solutions that deliver innovative community and physical outcomes.
  • Building on our existing partnerships, fostering community, and identifying and strengthening partnerships to build community capacity.
  • Place-based data collection and interpretation.

Applicants will come from a wide range of specialist skill areas but will all share the qualities of being a committed team player who is able to align their own activities to Organisation and Team mission, vision and values. 

We are seeking a motivated individual who is proactive, able to think on their feet, and work with a variety of situations, individuals and groups. This includes being able to quickly adapt and react positively to change.

What’s on offer
We are offering an attractive salary from $121,504 p.a. plus Super. City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to salary package a full private use Council vehicle.
