The City of Randwick - located 6 km from the Sydney CBD, a population of over 149,000 and a city area of 36 square kilometres. The Council provides value and service to the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, celebrating heritage and enhancing the environment to build a strong sense of community.

The Manager Development Assessment operates a $2.2 million budget, leads and inspires a staff team of 20 including town planners, development engineers and support staff, takes a best practice approach to development assessment, subdivision and other applications, and manages Council’s cases before the Land and Environment Court.

You will have a strong personal commitment to customer service excellence, a passion and drive for delivering outstanding planning and design outcomes matched to the values of the Council and the City. Your attention to detail and organisation skills will be apparent, and your ability to lead a talented staff group in managing workload and multiple projects effectively will be well regarded.

A very attractive total remuneration package is offered for this 5-year performance-based contract.
