Wollongong City Council is looking to bring an authentic, values driven executive leader to it's team to continue to build on it's success. 

This key executive role forms a critical part of the Executive Management Team and is responsible for the effective leadership and management of the Corporate Services portfolio. This position leads the Finance, Human Resources, Governance, Information Technology and Communications and Business Support functions.

As a member of the Executive Management Team this role is jointly responsible for the provision of credible leadership, development and maintenance of a performance culture, strategic planning and organisational decision making, ensuring that Corporate Services department supports the strategic direction and mission of the organisation.

Specifically, you will focus on:

  • Leading improvement and ongoing excellence across our Corporate Service functions, focusing on finance, procurement, information and communication technology, governance and legal compliance, risk management and human resources
  • Championing Council's Vision, Mission and Values to lead a high performance culture
  • Delivering quality organisational support services that meet current and emerging needs of internal and external customers to enable effective forward planning, and deliver Council's strategic initiatives
  • Ensuring consistent prudent procurement process that deliver effective purchasing and contract performance
  • Focusing on building capability and capacity in our people, systems and resources
