Dowerin is a scenic two hour drive along Pioneers Pathway (north east of Perth) and a real escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The Shire is seeking the services of an enthusiastic Chief Executive Officer who will live, work and actively connect with the community. The role requires highly developed leadership skills and business acumen which incorporates exciting challenges in the Shire’s development as an area of enterprise, lifestyle and environmental sustainability.

The successful candidate will be an experienced, proven strategic thinker with excellent communication skills. Also an ability to manage and work efficiently with diverse stakeholder groups to achieve a common purpose.

The position is offered under a performance based contract of three to five years. An attractive remuneration package is offered and is to be set in accordance with the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal Band 4, negotiable up to $195,280 per annum. Salary and benefits are subject to negotiation and could include, but are not limited to; base salary, superannuation, private use of a motor vehicle, membership fees, in addition a house is provided.
