Council is seeking a confident, motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Asset Engineer (Condition) to work as part of a small dynamic work team.

About the role

The Asset Engineer Condition is required to develop, maintain and implement the Condition Assessment and Data Collection Strategy for roads and Drainage infrastructure assets. As the successful applicant you will also be required to manage the Pavement Management System for Council and ensure that outputs support informed decision making.

Salary for this position is based on skills, experience and qualifications and will range from $80,838pa to $93,772pa + super + access to a leaseback vehicle.

 About You

This is a 'fast paced' work environment and in addition to being multi-skilled, holding the relevant qualifications and being a team player you must be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in construction & maintenance of road and drainage assets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in asset management including condition assessments and capital works program development relating to road and drainage assets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in manage a Pavement Management System (preferably SMEC).
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management.
  • Demonstrated high level or oral and written communication skills to manage relationships with staff, customers and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated understanding of WH&S and traffic control requirements.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (Class C)
