Our dynamic On-street Compliance (OCS) Local Laws team is expanding and we have multiple opportunities for you to be a part of this exciting and challenging work area within the City of Melbourne. We are looking for a 'can do' attitude and a strong resilient work ethic to face challenges and make a difference.
The Position… These roles are responsible for compliance across a broad spectrum of matters, including rubbish investigations, littering, street trading and parking. Each day will be unique! You will be someone who loves delivering customer service, and is passionate about promoting a cleaner, more accessible and safe city for our residents, tourists and visitors. A background in compliance is not necessary as we have a thorough on the job training program to train you in all relevant legislation. We are seeking individuals who have exemplary customer service, strong stakeholder management and communication skills. You will be someone who can think laterally and problem solve in situations where the obvious approach may not produce the best outcome. Our OCS Branch is the largest within the City of Melbourne and offers development programs and career path opportunities for individuals wishing to make a stamp on their career. Council operation works every day except Christmas day and Good Friday, so your commitment to and availability is important to this role.
