The Position… The Green Infrastructure Support Officer is responsible for providing proactive co-ordination and support to the Open Space Planning Team, with a particular focus on supporting the delivery of projects related to the green infrastructure portfolio, namely green roofs, walls and facades.

You will work closely with members of the open space team to provide assistance in data gathering and analysis, project coordination, report compilation, including content development for projects within the green infrastructure portfolio and working with internal and external stakeholders and consultants to deliver green infrastructure outcomes. In addition you will support the team to ensure that projects are managed, delivered and presented in an efficient, confidential, timely and professional manner.

You will have… Selection Criteria

• Appropriate tertiary qualification in environment, sustainability, public policy or science or currently undertaking studies, or equivalent level of experience in the industry
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• High level computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet and database and web related software; proven ability to interpret and reformat information.
• Innovative and creative approaches to problem solving.
• Proven ability to build and maintain networks, engage with community and business stakeholders and provide high quality customer service;
• Strong research and data management skills
• Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence;

Desirable

•  A basic knowledge of Adobe In-Design and Illustrator and ArcGIS (or equivalent).
