We have an opportunity for you to join an established team overseeing a wide variety of high profile city-shaping projects.
How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…As a Strategic Planner in the Planning Policy team, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of strategic urban planning reviews and planning scheme amendments. The role will require you to undertake evidence-based research and analysis that contributes to Council’s understanding of the city’s urban systems and development.
The projects within the team's remit include those that create and influence an urban environment that contributes to Melbourne being the world’s most liveable city. You will work across the organisation, with the Victorian Government and with a wide range of public and private sector stakeholders, ensuring a high level of collaboration while providing subject matter expertise. Our branch looks to the future of the City of Melbourne.
What are we looking for? You will be tertiary qualified, with experience in strategic urban planning and the Victorian planning system. You will understand the need to consider the numerous, and sometimes competing aspects of the built environment.
You will be a confident communicator supported by your savvy project management skills. You will be someone who loves a challenge and who thrives in an agile environment. If this role sounds like you then please read on!
