How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
As the Senior Business Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing delivery of projects and services to drive international partnerships in the designated priority sectors and market(s). This position includes business facilitation and knowledge acquisition/sharing to best service Melbourne’s interest through its global partnerships
You will be responsible for forming and fostering relationships with multiple stakeholders (local and international) including state, federal and industry bodies to ensure the effective delivery of role outcomes.
You are someone who has a sound understanding of cultural differences and the ability to appropriately manage business outcomes and relationships.

Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence
- Relevant Tertiary Degree in business or international relations together and/or extensive relevant industry experience in the areas of international relations and global partnerships

Demonstrated experience in corporate governance and reporting

Demonstrated business understanding of priority international markets and proven experience in providing authoritative and effective advice and strategies to drive international partnerships

Demonstrated experience in developing and managing complex multi-faceted programs and projects aligned with overall strategy and within rigorous policy, risk and governance frameworks

Demonstrated political acumen and astuteness in a complex and international business and local government environment

High level and multi-lingual communication/cultural skills with the ability to convey and effectively impart information and negotiate and influence outcomes.
