How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
The Business Change Lead focuses on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures. The role focusses on developing and coordinating implementation plans and change management strategies to maximise employee adoption and usage and minimise resistance. The role provides people leadership to the Project Change Analyst, Improvement Partner and Performance Analyst.
In this role, we are looking for someone who is professional that thrives in navigating the complexities of a large organisation.
You will have an open mindset, an astute head for business and be able to apply and adapt to different business directions. You will bring a background of change and project management principles and will be able to utilise your experience to achieve the delivery of key outcomes for the organisation. You will have the ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal, being forward looking and taking a holistic approach. Outstanding communication skills are essential coupled with your excellent leadership and people management skills.

Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence
Lead and enable a multidisciplinary team for each project you deliver, including facilitating team-forming activities and supporting team member capability building over the course of the project
Advanced knowledge of change management principles,contemporary methodologies and tools
Demonstrated experience with, and keen interest in, Human-centered Design and innovation practices
Excellent leadership skills, problem resolution abilities, and good judgment
The ability to work in ambiguous and sometimes change resistant environments
Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges.
