Business Analyst
$106,988 plus 9.5% Superannuation
Maximum Term Contract up until 26 August 2022

The $100m City Reactivation Fund is a joint initiative between City of Melbourne (CoM) and the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) with an agreement signed on 28 September 2020 to coordinate initiatives to reactivate the Melbourne city post pandemic. The delivery of programs under the Fund is governed by the Policy and Funding Oversight Committee (PFOC), which is comprised of two officials from the City of Melbourne and three from the Victorian Government.
A newly created position ready for an immediate start!
Working closely with Program Director City Activation and other project sponsors, the business analyst will play a key role as the conduit between the program office and the wider operations of the organisation delivering a range of analysis, project support, financial and program reporting to assist in the execution of the contract.
This role will require you to drive and deliver accurate and timely project information, monitoring and reporting. You will have experience in financial systems and accurate reporting, project evaluation and grant program delivery.
This role will provide key input to the required reporting per the grant agreement and to the review of all program elements.
To be successful in this role, you will possess drive and initiative with the ability to apply your strategic mindset to various processes. Stakeholder management and project delivery are significant responsibilities of this role. You will be required to analyse issues, situations, problem solve and develop innovative solutions. Previous experience with technical projects and the management and acquittal of government grant programs is highly desirable.

•Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
•Appropriate tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline and significant experience. CPA/CA qualified is desirable.
•Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis and financial reporting with the ability to exemplify financial project management best practice.
•Proven skills and experience in developing and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders.
•Demonstrated skills to support the preparation of regular reports with financial, quantitative (e.g. achievement of KPIs) and qualitative (e.g. written accounts of achievement) elements.
•Contemporary understanding of and experience working in the areas of business planning, performance measurement and improvement, risk management and benchmarking.
