$106,988 plus 9.5% Superannuation

How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
An exciting opportunity exists for a creative individual to join the Digital Placemaking team.
You will manage and lead the continued evolution of the City of Melbourne’s (CoM) digital placemaking and engagement platform, Participate Melbourne. This involves overseeing the delivery of digital community consultation opportunities on a wide range of city shaping projects and initiatives. A key focus will be on working with a variety of internal and external partners to develop and maintain this key CoM digital channel.
We are seeking an individual with proven experience leading digital consultation and engagement.
Fundamental to your success in this role will be your strong people leadership experience, and stakeholder management skills accompanied by a solid working knowledge of digital engagement platforms and tools. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of government, community and City of Melbourne stakeholders seeking to influence their involvement in and contribution to the digital platform.
A collaborative and engaging style is critical to the role along with your demonstrated experience with people leadership. Your previous experience in a similar role within a government agency is highly advantageous.
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- Leadership capability including leading by example and consistently working towards a constructive culture.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes with coaching skills to develop team capabilities, team cohesion and the ability to effectively manage conflict and under performance.
- Analytical and lateral thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, drive change and implement innovations.
- Tertiary qualification in a field such as Digital Communication, Community Engagement, and/or extensive relevant experience in a similar field.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining a best practice online engagement hub.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and community engagement.
- Proven experience in developing supporting materials: governance frameworks, protocols, and training to support an on-line engagement hub.
- High-level analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills including understanding of the complexities of working with diverse communities.
