How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
As the Manager, Advocacy & Partnerships, you’ll play a pivotal role in the City of Melbourne’s recovery. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to recommend and set priorities, identify opportunities, and deliver leading advocacy programs to support City of Melbourne objectives.
You’re experienced in navigating complex, fast-paced and dynamic political environments, and you understand electoral cycles, government priorities and commitments. You pride yourself on your ability to create, maintain and support positive external relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. You’re able to work productively with government, non-government and not-for-profit organisations and you’re comfortable providing recommendations to senior executives. Importantly, the advice you provide is always accurate and well-researched.
You’ll be able to flex across topics ranging from city activation to affordable housing, and you’ll move seamlessly between leading and supporting wherever needed. Whether you’re writing a report, pitching for funding, preparing a briefing note or directly engaging with stakeholders, you’re always ready to roll up your sleeves and do what is needed to deliver great results.
