We are seeking a corporate strategic planner and/or urban and regional planner with high level project management skills and experience in preparing strategies, plans and reports for cities and/or organisations that includes integrated social, economic, environmental and civic leadership components and/ or strategy-led service, financial and asset business planning. The successful candidate will have proven ability to lead and supervise a team, high level written and verbal communication, negotiation and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and positively within a continuously improving local government environment.

This position leads the Council’s Corporate Strategy Unit within the Integrated Planning and Finance Group. It works across the organisation to drive strategy-led service, financial and asset planning that supports achievement of a Sustainable Blue Mountains - environmentally, socially, economically including a financially sustainable council.

 The Program Leader, Corporate Strategic Planning and Reporting is responsible for project managing the Council’s response to the NSW Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework. This includes preparing and updating the legislatively required long term Community Strategic Plan for the City as well as the Council’s 10 year Resourcing Strategy, 4 year Delivery Program and Annual Operational Plans in response to it. This position also manages and oversees corporate annual reporting and the preparation of the 4 year State of City: End of Council Term report.

Salary: commencing at $1,803.77 gross per week.
