Blue Mountains City Council is offering a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced urban designer to join its Place Management Team.  This position will play a key role in leading and influencing urban design outcomes on key projects including public domain plans and urban revitalisation projects, ensuring the attractiveness and efficiency of our public spaces are smart, creative and enduring. 

You will provide professional and specialist advice on urban projects across the organisation ensuring high quality design outcomes are achieved. You will lead and influence urban design outcomes on proposals by external agencies to ensure we can achieve attractive and efficient public spaces across the City including the highway corridor and other important civic precincts. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experience Urban Designer with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and conflict resolution skills) and with proven ability to liaise and engage effectively with the community and with other professionals both internal and external to the organisation. High level negotiation skills and a proven ability to influence are also critical to this role.

Salary:  commencing at $3397.86 gross per fortnight.
