Blue Mountains City Council seeks a highly motivated Aquatic Systems Officer for a 12-month, 3-days-per-week positon in our Healthy Waterways Team. This position will work to improve the management and protection of Blue Mountains waterways and catchments, through the collection, interpretation and communication of scientific monitoring data.  The officer will provide expert advice for catchment improvement, waterway restoration, stormwater treatment and water sensitive city projects.

The successful candidate will have a degree and industry experience in environmental management/science or similar, along with demonstrated skills in waterway monitoring and management. The Aquatic Systems Officer will be required to work both independently and cooperatively and to communicate complex scientific/environmental issues with varied audiences.

Salary:  commencing at $1710.07 gross per fortnight.
