As a member of the Planning & Building Team within the Regulatory & Community Services Division, the Building Surveyor will:

• Assist the Municipal Building Surveyor with the delivery of Building Services. 
• Assist with Council’s statutory responsibilities in the role of Building Surveyor under the Building Act 1993 and other related statutes.
• Manage the building approvals function as required in accordance with the Building Act and Building regulations.
• The statutory function requires Council to ensure that the statutory obligations of the Building Act and the Building Regulations are enforced so that the amenity and safety of the Shire of Campaspe’s built environment is maintained.

To be successful for this role you will require:

• Tertiary qualifications as a Building Surveyor and registration with the Victorian Building Authority (Limited or Unlimited).
• Understanding of rural building issues.
• Substantial experience in the public and or private building sector or related field.
• Proven background in continuous process improvement.
• Valid driving licence

This is a Band 7 role in accordance with the Campaspe Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2019.
