Full-Time 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

Salary Range $115,000 – $125,000 PLUS superannuation (up to 15.25%), private use of a vehicle, phone allowance, and professional development. 

The City of Busselton is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team.  

We’re looking for a great communicator, a practical no-nonsense operator who can both manage and inspire a busy team of around 29 staff (plus contractors). This team is dedicated to delivering robust and sustainable waste management strategies, and providing effective waste collection and disposal services to the residents of the City of Busselton.  The role also oversees the delivery of cost effective fleet and plant services, and develops long-term fleet management strategies.

  • Tertiary qualification in Waste Management or similar related discipline.
  • Substantial technical experience in waste management including experience working within the applicable regulatory framework.
  • Experience in the development of waste management strategies.
  • Experience in effective fleet management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating staff.
  • Extensive experience in project planning, resource and budget management.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and conceptual skills.

The successful applicant must also hold a hold a current “C” class driver’s licence.
