Our Community Support Services Department is currently looking for a Best Start Facilitator (job share) to build strong relationships with a range of early years, community and government partners to improve outcomes for children. Best Start explores and implements a localised and targeted service improvement approach to increase the participation of families with young children 0 - 5 years in Maternal and Child Health and Early Childhood Education and Care. This position offers both a challenging, diverse and extremely rewarding opportunity for a professional looking to expand their career within a a dynamic and supportive team. 

  • Salary from $82,599 (Band 6) per annum, pro rata plus superannuation
  • Temporary Part Time (0.5 EFT + additional days available) until June 2020
  • Job Share position

What you’ll bring to our team

  • Qualifications in Social Science, Health, Education, Children’s Services or related qualification
  • Significant experience working in :-
    • Family and/or Children’s Services, Health, Community, Education.
    • Community engagement, particularly the engagement of families experiencing vulnerability, or from an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or CALD background.
    • Building positive relationships and managing projects with a range of stakeholders managing time, budget, and resources to meet objectives.
    • Implementing service and community data collection, analysis and reporting processes .
  • Skills in working with Microsoft packages including word, excel and powerpoint.
