Project Surveyor

To Provide leadership, supervision and technical expertise in relation to surveys; that need to be undertaken for planning, design and construction of Council infrastructure and assets. To investigate land tenure and spatial requirements to meet relevant Acts and Standards to ensure project delivery. To assist in Project manage of infrastructure projects as required by the Branch and to provide expertise in the use of specialised surveying equipment and computer techniques for analysis, interpretation, integration, management, storage and presentation of data.

This is a Broadband position to enable a person studying surveying at a Tertiary Institution or an experienced qualified surveyor to apply for the position.  It will involve a wide range of experience in engineering, set-out, cadastral, identification, control surveys, geodetic and topographical surveys and knowledge and use of specialised surveying equipment such as robotic Total Stations, GPS RTK GNSS techniques, use of CORS network, adjustments and issues associated with surveying in difficult terrain.
