Director, Infrastructure, Economy & Property Services

This role leads the Council’s infrastructure, economic, property and commercial service provision. It delivers the Council’s Asset Works Program and is responsible for planning, design, delivery and maintenance of the Council’s civil and built infrastructure including roads, drainage, footpaths, walking tracks and buildings and for major project delivery – all within a best value sustainable service delivery framework.

As part of a dynamic Executive Leadership Team, this position actively supports the Council’s Vision of a more “sustainable and successful” Blue Mountains and is also responsible for economic development and tourism within a City surrounded by a World Heritage Area, place management and the creation of well-designed, accessible, safe and vibrant towns and village centres, management of the Council’s property portfolio and commercial activities including two Tourist Parks and two Visitor Centres.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in strategic infrastructure and major project delivery in a sensitive environment. You will have considerable experience and / or understanding of economic development, tourism, place and property management and strong commercial acumen. You will have proven ability to work collaboratively, foster effective strategic and operational relationships and drive a best value customer centric service delivery culture.
