Strategic Planner to Senior Strategic Planner (Ref: V22/5525)

A full-time position located within the City Planning branch. The branch has the exciting and challenging responsibility to deliver high quality strategic land use planning for a City within a World Heritage Area.

Specific action areas for the position include the preparation of urban design masterplans for key locations and town centres, the development and review of land use planning strategies and plans for the Blue Mountains Local Government Area in line with Council’s corporate goals and priorities, and the monitoring and updating of Council’s local planning framework. This will also include working with, influencing and guiding groups within Council and external agencies to achieve Council's strategic planning objectives.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated high level ability in strategic planning and/or statutory land use policy and processes and hold a tertiary qualification in town planning or related discipline such as urban design. The ability to demonstrate great community engagement and customer service, as well as a passion for excellent planning outcomes, is also essential.

Salary:  commencing at between $2907.12 to $4121.15 (depending on skills & experience) gross per fortnight.
