Property Officer

Applications are invited for an experienced, motivated and suitably qualified individual for the position of Property Officer.

The Property Officer is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing Council’s property portfolio and other public land for which Council is responsible for, as well as to provide property advice and services across the organisation in relation to property matters.

The incumbent will coordinate the negotiation and administration of leases, licenses and agreements. This role will also be responsible for internal and external stakeholder management and the preparation of reports/recommendations to facilitate decisions on property matters.

The successful applicants will have relevant qualifications in Law / Business / Property Management or extensive property management experience along with highly developed communication and negotiation skills and a working knowledge of Property Law in a local government or crown lands context.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government State Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment.  The salary will be within the range of $1,399.60 to $1,545.00 per week, depending on qualifications, experience and skills.  This is a Grade 20 in Federation Council’s Salary System.
