Description

A key element of this role is ensuring the operations of the finance team align with council strategy and vision, making improvements as you see fit.

Supervising a team you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards, oversee transactional accounting including payroll and be highly involved in extensive budgets throughout the year.

The team are well established but an individual who wants to contribute to their continued development will be highly regarded.

Profile

To be successful in this role you will be a highly experienced accounting professional with extensive team management experience. with strengths across both financial and management accounting you will also have involvement in a finance system implementation.

Stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills are key in this role.
