Communications and Engagement Officer

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and self-driven Communications and Engagement Officer to join our small but highly productive Communications team. If you like variety in your communications workload this could be the job for you.

We are looking for an ‘allrounder’ - someone with broad ranging communications and engagement skills who can write for a range of audiences, proof and edit content, dabble in photography and videography, assist in face-to-face engagement activities, desktop publish communications material and generate social media content.           

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a public relations, journalism or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat)
  • Experience in social media platforms and content generation
  • Very strong written communication and analytical skills
  • A strong sense of community and be committed to high level customer service and community participation
