Bayside City Council is one of Victoria's most highly regarded public sector organisations. Its purpose is to work with the community to make Bayside a better place. The council incorporates the areas of Brighton, Black Rock, Beaumaris, Cheltenham, Hampton, Highett and Sandringham.

Reporting to the Manager Finance and CFO, this hands on role will oversee the organisation's accounting functions. Supervising a team of five, you will provide leadership to the team and assist with systems development, continuous improvement initiatives, and a review of internal processes.

You will play a key leadership role within the Finance Team with the support of a strong Executive Team.

You will have previous experience of managing a small team as well as internal reporting, budget development and external statutory reporting. With strong systems and technical accounting skills, you will be customer service focused and have demonstrated leadership experience, able to drive the team forward with the ambition to implement improvements to the current systems and procedures.
