Web Content Migration Manager job for local council in Melbourne. WFH immediate start. 6-month job, $67/hour.

Your new company
Our client are a highly reputable local council based in Melbourne’s inner suburbs. They are actively seeking an experienced Web Content Migration Manager for an immediate start.

Your new role
Currently undergoing a complete upgrade of council’s website platform, they are actively seeking a highly experienced Web Content Migration Manager to overlook the migration of the council’s website content from the Seamless CMS platform across to Open Cities CMS.

The role will be for an October commencement for an initial period of six months with possibility of extension.

Sitting within the project management team and reporting to the Business Transformation Coordinator, your daily responsibilities will include;

  • You will use design thinking and a customer-centre approach to complete a full website redevelopment and implementation of a new content management system and supporting databases.
  • You will work collaboratively with the project team to facilitate the project and maintain an awareness of the digital environment and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • You will look for opportunities to ensure council’s websites and digital applications deliver quality customer experiences and information.
  • You will be expected to maintain active oversight of issues of Digital Advisers and provide advice on any issues.
  • You will work closely with the project management team and Business Transformation Coordinator and will continue to update them on any updates and developments throughout the duration of the project.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Demonstrated experience and abilities in content planning, development and implementation for websites and other digital tools, channels and services in complex organisations coupled with excellent digital and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar digital content leadership role within a large, complex organisation within the public sector.
  • A good understanding of information architecture, usability, customer-centric design, content management systems, website analytics and web accessibility best practice as well as demonstrated experience of design thinking, customer-centred approach and agile methodology.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with HTML, CSS and content management systems. Prior experience working with Open Cities CMS will be highly desirable.
  • High level experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and a sound understanding of stakeholder needs.

Furthermore, you must be willing to undertake a National Police Check. Please also note that you MUST be currently residing in Victoria and have full working rights to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who do not hit this criteria will not be considered.

What you'll get in return
This role will pay an hourly rate of $67 plus superannuation. Furthermore, this job offers an excellent opportunity to oversee a pivotal transformation project within government and a strong possibility of extension beyond the initial six-month period.
