The Commonwealth bridges renewal program is open.

Round Four of the Bridges Renewal program has opened, and the turnaround for councils to apply is tight.

Applications for the $80 million national funding pool close at midnight February 5th, AEST.

This round of the fund will distribute about $80 million nationally until 2022-23.

This time around, the fund is only open to local governments.

It is based on a 50:50 funding arrangement, with the Australian Government contributing up to half of the total project cost of successful projects, up to a maximum of $700,000 for one bridge or $1.4 million for two bridges in a single local government area.

Round Three’s successful projects can be found here.
