About the role
Queensland Rail have an exciting new opportunity for a Governance and Commercial Senior Manager to join our SEQ Integration team based in Brisbane CBD on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting QR to develop and drive strategic commercial initiatives and ensure robust governance frameworks are adhered to. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include
- Develop and implement robust governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Build and develop complex product plans that will support QR to deliver key project pillars.
- Scrutinize all corporate documentation / governance ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and management of contracts, agreements, and stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.

About you
- Previous experience in a similar governance and commercial management role, preferably in government or transport.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective governance frameworks and commercial strategies.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to drive favourable outcomes in complex negotiations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a focus on driving business results.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
