We are currently seeking a Program Services Director to join our MPERS team on an initial fixed term basis of 3 years. This is an opportunity to use your railway and leadership experience to lead the accountability for the effectiveness of our project operating model. You will provide strategic leadership and direction to multidisciplinary program support teams to ensure the successful delivery and integration of multiple major projects in the portfolio.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Providing senior leadership of Program Services matters in a rail infrastructure environment
- Act as the point of accountability in ensuring the success of the operating model in the delivery and integration of multiple major projects.
- Liaise and negotiate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders at a strategic level, including the Board, CEO, Executive Leadership team and senior leaders
- Resolution of risks and issues by addressing potentially significant safety, legal, environmental and operational risks at different stages of the project life cycle.
What we are looking for:
- High level of senior leadership experience, strategic thinking and effective management skills.
- High level of skill in the planning and successful delivery of complex programs preferably within in rail
- High level of stakeholder management, influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationships building and negotiation skills
- High level of skill in strategic and innovative project delivery
- Ability to manage multiple demands effectively through planning, prioritisation, risk identification and management of commercial issues
