About the role
Queensland Rail has a current project pipeline of over $10 billion and this is expected to grow exponentially in the build-up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. As a result of this significant investment, the need to gain visibility, manage and coordinate business readiness and change activities for integration into the SEQ business is critical. 

As the Business Readiness and Integration Manager, you will play a key role in identifying, understanding, and executing the changes associated with various projects, programs and initiatives impacting the SEQ business. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and effective change management, helping our business plan, prepare for, implement, and sustain these changes.

Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include

  • Identify, understand, and assess the key interface and integration issues associated with projects, programs and initiatives impacting SEQ.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gain visibility of and understand the impact of these changes on the operations of the business and influence sustainable outcomes.
  • Provide an interface to ensure that business readiness and operational delivery are considered in the concept, design, construction, delivery, and commissioning of assets, services, projects, and transformation activities.
  • Develop, coordinate and support business readiness strategies and activities to ensure a seamless transition and successful integration.
  • Influence and support SEQ business units in executing change initiatives.
  • Prepare comprehensive options papers, information briefs and artefacts to enable decision-making and successful transition, integration, and implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business readiness activities and make necessary adjustments.
  • Support the adoption and integration of new processes, technologies, and ways of working to achieve desired outcomes.

About you

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, business readiness, or a similar role within a large organisation.
  • A solid understanding of the operational workings of Queensland Rail (Desirable).
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
