Strategic Planner/Senior Strategic Planner

We are currently recruiting for a Strategic Planner and Senior Strategic Planne r for our client, a NSW Government agency based in Parramatta. This is an initial contract until 28/02/2025 with strong possibility of extension due to a significant pipeline of projects. The pay rates are $63.72ph + super for the Strategic Planner and $72.63ph + super for the Senior Strategic Planner. The roles are for 40 hours per week and there is flexibility to WFH a maximum of 3 days per week. 

You will be providing strategic planning advice, review the impact of Government planning policies and housing policy initiatives on the property portfolio, assist to manage consultants as required and undertake planning approvals

Key accountabilities

• Provide accurate and timely technical planning advice to internal and external stakeholders, providers, contractors, and consultants.
• Prepare and gain approval for development projects
• Conduct and document planning and legislative issues and reporting, project status and perform risk management analyses on project performance for early issues management
• Assist with the review of planning assessment reports and packages to ensure they comply with planning legislative requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Tertiary degree in Urban/Regional Planning
• Previous experience in a Strategic Planning Role in either Local, State Government or Consultancy. Statutory Planners with an interest in strategic planning would also be considered.
