The City is seeking to appoint a full-time professional to assist in the delivery of building surveying, building compliance and fire safety related services within our community.

The purpose of this position is to deliver high standard building surveying related services within the City of Sydney to ensure healthy and safe buildings and places. The successful applicant will be involved with certain key proactive programs that the City is keen to implement in building surveying, for example fire safety, building compliance, and swimming pool fencing compliance.

A key component of the position will be to enhance Council's public image through responsive and effective liaison and communication with the community, business and other stakeholders.

You have a relevant qualification, excellent analytical, advocacy, negotiation and interpersonal skills as well as extensive building surveying experience.

You are also energetic, versatile, and conversant with relevant legislation, WH&S regulations and building construction principles.
