Job Description

As a Service Centre Officer, you will be a key link in the relationship between Council and its customers, providing a high quality service over the phone, face to face at the counters, via email and through other online channels. As the first point of contact you will enhance and promote Council’s public image and the effectiveness of the Service Centre Team.

There are multiple positions currently available within the Customer Service team.

  • One x 3 month full time temporary position- with the option of possible extension or a casual position at the end of contract
  • One x 12 month full time temporary position - with the option of casual  position at the end of contract
  • One x casual position

Desired Skills and Experience

As a Customer Service Officer you will be a key link in the relationship between Council and its customers, providing a high quality service over the phone, face to face at the counters, via email and through other online channels. As the first point of contact you will enhance and promote Council’s public image and the effectiveness of the Service Centre Team.

To be successful in the role, you will need previous experience in a busy customer service environment, excellent communication skills and advanced cash handling skills. Additionally you will need proven time management and computer literacy skills in order to carry out the key responsibilities of the role in a fast paced environment and manage constant requests for information and action from customers.
