The position sits within the Asset Management Department of the City of Stonnington. Applicants with prior or current work experience in Asset Management are preferred. The Asset Management department develops and implements policy and strategic frameworks to sustainably manage Council’s infrastructure assets over their life cycle. It includes the ongoing support and management of Council’s Geographical Information System (GIS). You will also process and analyse asset management data to provide effective business information as well as undertake analysis of asset performance data to inform asset strategy and Asset Plan development and reporting.
You are also required to:
Apply life cycle costing and engineering economics.
Compile, review and validate asset data and databases.
Assist in preparing responses to requests for information and services.
Assist with the definition of service level requirements and asset performance.
Support the achievement of agreed business outcomes in relation to the Open Space asset class.
This is a permanent full-time position with an annual salary range of $92,922 - $100,635 per annum + 10.5 % superannuation. This is a hybrid role which means you can work both from home and within the office. You are based within our bright, modern and sustainable 311 Glenferrie Road office on the corner of High Street and Glenferrie Road in Malvern where boutique stores, cafes and health clubs are in abundance. From the office you can easily walk to Malvern Gardens, High Street Armadale or Glenferrie Road. Malvern and Armadale Train Station are a short walk away and tram stops are out the front of the building. As a permanent employee you also get access to our wellbeing program, employee assistance counselling program and receive 17.5% additional pay when on annual leave.
Desired Skills and Experience
To thrive within this role you will have:
Sound knowledge of asset management and data technologies and best practice principles.
Strong interest in asset management, particularly in relation to buildings and open space assets.
General knowledge of financial management principles relating to asset management.
Knowledge of Local Government Act and other relevant Acts, subordinate regulations, and guidelines.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to successfully liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
Ability to apply professional and technical knowledge in decision making.
Enhanced time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks to achieve agreed outcomes.
Team player and commitment to continual improvement and professional development.
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in asset and facilities management, project management, and urban design.
