About the role

The Infringement Review Officer will independently review ‘Applications for Internal Review’ for infringement Notices issued by Council in accordance with legislation and relevant operating policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Coordinator Governance, you will provide efficient communication regarding the outcome of the internal review process to relevant parties within a timely manner.

What you’ll deliver:

  • Review and investigate written objections from customers and make a determination on each matter
  • Liaise with the relevant business Unit or issuing officer to ensure all available data is used in conducting the Internal Review
  • Prepare high quality written responses in line with legislative guidelines and Wyndham City policies, explaining the decision and addressing the customer’s concerns
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders presenting a professional and corporate image that reflects Wyndham City vision and values

What we expect:

  • Degree or Diploma in a related discipline with relevant experience within a governance or community compliance setting
  • Ability to understand complex documentation such as legislation and regulations as applicable to Council’s regulatory role
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and situations
