At the heart of Parramatta is PHIVE, 5 Parramatta Square – Council’s state-of-art flagship community, cultural and civic venue due open mid-2022. It will include the Council’s public-facing customer contact centre and visitor services functions, Council’s central city branch library, City of Parramatta Council Chambers (seat of government), community meeting rooms, exhibition spaces, café and function rooms, and flexible programmable spaces throughout.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketing and professional to join the Marketing and Brand team. This newly created position will lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications strategies for PHIVE to drive visitation, engagement, bookings of venue spaces and support other key Council marketing programs as required.
Interested candidates will have proven experience in leading the development and implementation of end-to-end marketing and communications strategies and campaigns to:
- Market the PHIVE’s Annual Program and other activities held in the venue and its surrounds.
- Market the PHIVE for venue hire to both the community and organisations.
- Manage and execute marketing, promotion and communication strategy, campaigns and program sales initiatives for PHIVE to increase the positive profile of the venue and enhance community engagement.
- Drive the awareness of, and embed the PHIVE brand and reputation as an iconic building that is Parramatta’s new cultural, hospitality and entertainment venue that is welcoming for the community and visitors.
- Position PHIVE as a central meeting place that represents Parramatta’s evolution to a world-class city and destination.
- This role will also work collaboratively with the Media team to identify media opportunities for publicity, and support the Events teams to activate the venue and its surrounds.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations or other related field.
- You have at least 5 years’ of experience in marketing and communications in arts, hospitality, entertainment or related sector.
- You are a smart, energetic, highly driven, proactive and motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- You have exceptional project management and communications skills.
- You are experienced in managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- You are data-driven with a digital-first mindset .
- Experience with a broad range of media-buying experience is strongly desired.
- Experience in events and activations is advantageous.
