The opportunity
Reporting to the Group Manager People and Corporate Affairs, you’ll be the go-to person at Evoenergy on day-to-day people advice and support.
Whether it's resolving complex employment matters, interpreting HR policies, or coaching managers on best people practices, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, offering expert guidance on a wide range of HR matters.
We’re looking for someone who brings fresh ideas and a true partnership approach to this role. You are a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset
About your new role
You will partner with Evoenergy to:
- Act as the liaison between Evoenergy and the People team, fostering strong relationships and aligning People strategies with business objectives to drive performance
- Provide general people advice and support including enterprise agreement interpretation, terms and conditions and People policy
- Provide input into the employment relations strategy and support enterprise agreement bargaining preparations
- Contribute to the development and execution of the strategic people priorities, analysing trends and identifying opportunities to shape workforce planning and talent management strategies
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the business, promote positive people management processes, and ensure timely and proactive resolution of service delivery issues
What will you bring
- A relevant tertiary qualification in human resources, employment relations or related field
- Previous experience as a People Business Partner, preferably within utilities or a similar industry, with proven ability to handle complex people issues like performance management, disciplinary action, dispute resolution and organisational restructures
- A strong understanding of the Fair Work Act and other employment related legislation, including enterprise agreements, complex terms and conditions of employment and people policy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset
- A current drivers licence is desirable, as you will be required to travel between sites within Canberra
