Energy Storage Summit 2025

17 February 2025 - 19 February 2025

2025 is set to be a pivotal year for the global energy transition, as we reach the halfway point in a significant decade for the planet on its path to net zero.

Our Summit aims to highlight the fundamental role that energy storage will play in this journey, and will strive to recognise, explore and analyse key challenges that may present themselves on the trajectory ahead.

2023 was a significant year for the EU, with Europe exceeding 10GW of cumulative energy storage installations for the first time on record. High figures like this will be needed consistently over the next five years to ensure the EU achieves the mammoth 187 GW of storage capacity needed by 2030.

Notable European markets include the UK, Italy, Germany, Poland, and the Nordics, among others. Of the 5 GW currently under construction in Great Britain, 3.5 GW of this is set to come online in 2024 with pipelines continuing to expand into 2025, and the utility scale sector is set to take off in Italy with recent forecasts stating that by the end of 2030, the country will have 22 GW of capacity. Poland celebrated another resounding success in the most recent capacity market auctions, with a total of 1.4 GW of secured capacity.

Join us in February for the networking event of the year, bringing together over 2000 delegates from across Europe’s energy storage value chain, spanning investors, developers, IPPs, banks, government and policy-makers, TSOs and DSOs, EPCs, optimisers, manufacturers, data and analytics providers, consultancies, system integrators, and more.

Gearing up to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Energy Storage Summit will return to London on 17 – 19 February 2025, with the Intercontinental London – The O2 as its new home.
