WA’s Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) has raided the offices of a council that says it has nothing to hide.

Officers searched the Shire of Exmouth’s Maidstone Crescent premises on last week as part of an inquiry into possible serious misconduct.

The CCC says it obtained evidence that would be a part of its ongoing investigation.

Shire chief executive Bill Price was in Perth when the raids happened, and reportedly discovered the shire was under investigation days later.

“We will be cooperating with the investigation. I've got nothing to hide,” he said.

The shire has a number of big infrastructure projects within its borders, including the construction of the Ningaloo Centre and an upgrade of local aerodrome and airport facilities.

The CCC has invited anyone with information to come forward and make a registered or anonymous report.
