Youth-led Recovery Grants for South Australian councils are now open.

SA’s Department of Human Services (DHS) has partnered with the Local Government Association (LGA) to provide South Australian councils the opportunity to apply for a one-off competitive grant of up to $20,000 for individual councils and up to $50,000 for collaborations between councils and/or not for profit community organisations.

The authorities say the grants recognise the role of young people as innovators in their communities and their ability to be pioneers in addressing a range of local community needs.

The Youth-led Recovery Grants should enable councils to undertake activities and initiatives, led by young people aged 12-24 years, that respond to the impact of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
