The window is open for councils to have a say on a new national homelessness plan.

Councils are encouraged to register their interest to have a say on the Federal Government’s new National Housing and Homelessness Plan.

The Australian Local Government Association (ALGA) says it is looking forward to working with the Government on the development of the plan, and highlighting the vital role local governments can play in addressing the national housing crisis.

The National Plan will be a 10-year strategy that aims to outline a shared vision to inform future housing and homelessness policy in Australia.

Work will commence in the next few months and councils and individuals can register to be part of the process here.
