Ipswich City councillors will soon attend what is expected to be their final meeting.

The entire council is set to be sacked by the Queensland government when it introduces laws specifically for that purpose this week.

The state government will sack the entire council and appoint administrators in the wake of a corruption probe that saw 15 people, including two former mayors, charged with 86 offences.

With all the matters now before the courts, the Queensland government has said the council cannot remain in office.

Ten councillors who do not face any allegations should give farewell speeches at Monday's meeting.
