A reshuffle of the Queensland Cabinet has resulted in a new Minister for Local Government.

 

Deputy Premier Paul Lucas. Mr Lucas, who was formerly Minister for Health, has also taken on the roles of Attorney-General and Special Minister for State.

 

The previous Minister for Local Government was Desley Boyle.

 

 

Andrew Fraser will stay on as Treasurer, as well as becoming Minister for State Development and Trade, responsible for major infrastructure projects, the Coordinator-General, new industries e.g. LNG, aviation and biotechnology, Innovation and Trade.

 

Premier Anna Bligh will take on the new role as Reconstruction Minister, and has passed the Arts portfolio on to Rachel Nolan, who has also been given the new portfolio of Finance. As Finance Minister, Ms Nolan will be responsible for Government Owned Corporations, Queensland Investment Corporation and Queensland Competition Authority, as well as Regulatory Reform and Insurance.
