WALGA has created a new online platform for local government services.

Featuring video content from various local governments across WA, YourEveryday.com.au intends to help the community connect with places of interest, lifestyle activities and introduce key Council representatives.

Jointly launched today by Local Government Minister David Templeman and WALGA President Cr Lynne Craigie, the website also includes key information and contact details for all WA Councils.

Minister Templeman welcomed the initiative and applauded WALGA for its work and commitment to promoting the Local Government sector.

“The quality and fantastic breadth of content is outstanding and will help promote tourism, lifestyle factors and the benefits of being on Council,” he said.

WALGA says the site was developed to help build community awareness and understanding of the great diversity able to be accessed within the State.

It showcases local tourist attractions, provides advice on lifestyle activities and introduces the community to key Council representatives.

“Every corner of WA has experiences just waiting to be accessed and this site aims to ensure that as many people as possible are aware what is available,” Cr Craigie said.
