A new president has been elected for the Victorian Local Governance Association (VLGA). 

Cr Denise Massoud has been elected as VLGA President for a two-year term. Louise Hill remains as Vice President with Andrew Sloman elected Treasurer.

Cr Massoud has been councillor at Whitehorse City Council since 2012, and is also a graduate and current member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

Cr Massoud has held several board positions at other not-for-profits, and is a member of the Executive Committee for ALGWA VIC - supporting other women in their development as community leaders.

VLGA chief Kathryn Arndt says she and the board are looking forward to working with Cr Massoud in her new role.
