The latest round of Queensland’s $445 million Building Our Regions infrastructure program is open.

The program aims to provide funding for critical infrastructure in regional areas of the state that meet the specific needs of regional communities and supports economic development, including generating jobs.

The $70 million fourth round is open for expressions of interest until 27 April 2018.

The latest round is open to all regional local governments eligible under the Regional Capital Fund, Royalties for Resource Producing Communities Fund, and Remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities Fund.

Local governments who have had Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) activated due to the March 2018 flood events will have a further four weeks—until 25 May 2018—to submit their expressions of interest.
